Become a DJ and build the perfect Spotify party playlist with Business Intelligence!

Dive in to our world of data, and learn how to build a modern Data Platform with Data Vault 2.0.

In our one-day workshop, we offer you a practical introduction to the world of Business Intelligence. We'll introduce you to our modern tool stack - Google BigQuery, dbt and Looker Studio - and give you an introduction into Data Vault 2.0. With these new skills, you'll be able to build a modern Data Platform by analyzing the dataset to find out which is the most streamed song and the most streamed artist from all our employees, modeling it according to the Data Vault Methodology and implementing it in a data warehouse. Last but not least, you will learn how to dashboard your results and present your findings.

The dataset contains anonymized data from our employees with over 5000 of our favorite tracks & artists.

What we are looking for

Ongoing studies in business informatics, mathematics, computer science or a comparable course of study
Interest in big data topics
Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
Knowledge of dashboarding is an advantage

In unserem eintägigen Workshop bieten wir dir eine praktische Einführung in die Welt der Business Intelligence. Wir zeigen dir unseren modernen Tool-Stack - Google BigQuery, dbt und Looker Studio - und geben dir eine Einführung in Data Vault 2.0. Bau mit deinen neu erlernten Skills eine moderne Datenplattform auf, indem du den Datensatz analysierst, und finde heraus, welches der am meisten gestreamte Song und der am meisten gestreamte Künstler von allen unseren Mitarbeiter:innen bei Spotify ist. Modelliere die Daten dann nach der Data Vault Methodik und implementiere sie in einem Data Warehouse. Abschließend lernst du noch, wie wir die gewonnenen Informationen auf einem Dashboard darstellen und präsentieren können.

Der Datensatz enthält anonymisierte Daten unserer Mitarbeiter mit über 5000 unserer Lieblingstitel und -künstler.

Ein laufendes Studium der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Mathematik oder einen vergleichbaren Studiengang
Interesse an Big Data Themen
Grundlegende Kenntnisse SQL und Datenbanken
Kenntnisse in Dashboarding sind von Vorteil
